The summer camp is organized regularly in June by the Polish Rett Association. Last couple of years we have been meeting in Mielno on the Polish Coast. The camps are a good opportunity to meet other parents and their kids. The idea for the meeting of the families is more to get together with people having similar situations than to go through intensive rehab program with our girls. Nevertheless we have seized the opportunity and arranged for our girls a few specialized treatments like massage and hot tube with bubbles, amongst other things. The parents also had the opportunity to take part in the treatments.
This year the weather was varying heavily and we had experienced hot beach hours as well as stormy days when we could only walk along the beach in the warm outfit. Alternative to the walks were hours spent in the SPA facilities like swimming pool, sauna, etc.
On top of things, we had some classic holiday events like theater shows for kids, bonfire with live music (a lot of fun for our girls, their siblings and parents) and trips to local touristic sites.
